Sirius - management of work ability
Sirius - the brightest star in the sky - shows L&T employees the way to better management and maintenance of work ability. The Sirius programme refers to occupational health management derived from our strategy: new active ways of maintaining work ability and preventing long periods of disability.
In addition to statutory occupational health care, we provide our employees with comprehensive medical services. The objective of Sirius is to create a healthier and safer working environment for our staff and to promote the work ability and commitment of staff in the different phases of their careers. This way as many of us as possible will be able to retire while still healthy and able to work.
The principles of Sirius are:
• noticing any problems with work ability at an early stage
• discussing problems between managers and employees, and
• taking people of different ages into account as an element of maintaining and managing work ability.
Staff clubs
We support sports and other recreational activities through more than 30 staff clubs operating across Finland. The clubs’ activities include scheduled sports, support for individual exercise, cultural activities and common events.
